Overview

Throne of Eden is a scheduled guild PvP event held in the Devias 3 Castle. Guilds compete to hold the throne - the guild whose Guild Master stands on the throne the longest wins. It runs on a fixed schedule, announced server-wide in advance. There is no UI panel to open; the event HUD appears automatically when you enter the map during an active event.

Schedule

The event runs on a fixed timetable configured on the server. A warning broadcast goes out to all players before the event starts - when you see it, you can click Join in the invite popup to teleport directly to Devias 3 Castle.

How It Works

  1. When the warning fires, a popup appears on every player’s screen: “Throne of Eden begins in X minutes!”
  2. Clicking Join teleports you to the castle area in Devias 3 (Map 2). You can also walk there manually.
  3. When the event starts, anyone already standing inside the castle zone is cleared out (teleported to the castle spawn area just outside).
  4. The event begins. Only Guild Masters can capture the throne by physically standing on the throne tile.
  5. Every 2 seconds the server scans who is on the throne:
    • One GM on the throne → their guild accumulates hold time
    • Multiple GMs from different guilds → CONTESTED, no time accumulates for anyone
    • Nobody on the throne → Unclaimed, no time accumulates
  6. The event ends after the configured duration. The guild with the most total accumulated throne time wins.

The Throne Zone

Located in Devias 3 (Map 2), the castle zone covers coordinates approximately (207-242, 203-239). The throne itself is at tile (225-226, 237) - your Guild Master must be standing directly on that exact tile to accumulate time.

Non-Guild-Masters can fight in the zone and contest it physically, but only the Guild Master standing on the throne actually scores time.

In-Event HUD

When you’re in Devias 3 during an active event, a small draggable HUD appears showing:

  • “THRONE OF EDEN” header with time remaining
  • Your guild - current accumulated hold time + blue progress bar
  • Leading guild - their accumulated hold time + gold/orange progress bar
  • If contested: shows “CONTESTED!” with crossed swords icon in red
  • If nobody holds it: shows “Unclaimed”

A server-wide broadcast goes out every 30 seconds showing who’s leading and how much time is left.

Victory Buff (1 Hour)

All online members of the winning guild receive a 1-hour combat buff. Exact values are subject to change.

A server-wide announcement goes out: “[GuildName] claimed the Throne of Eden! (held X:XX)”

Castle Control (Throne Guard)

The winning guild gains exclusive control of the castle area between events. Any player who is not a member of the winning guild will be instantly teleported out of the castle zone with a warning message.

  • The guard activates after each event ends and stays active until the next event
  • The guard automatically disables 5 minutes before the next scheduled event so all guilds can enter
  • Non-members who enter the zone see: "This area belongs to [GuildName]! You have been expelled."

Golden Kundun (Castle Boss)

A Golden Kundun spawns inside the castle zone at (226, 233). This is an extremely powerful raid boss exclusive to the winning guild's territory.

Tips

  • Only the Guild Master matters for scoring - everyone else is there to protect their GM and kill enemy GMs.
  • If two GMs from different guilds are both on the throne, time stops for both - contesting is a valid defensive tactic to deny the leader from accumulating more time.
  • You don’t need to win to get rewarded - any guild that held the throne at all, even for a few seconds, earns a participation reward.
  • The victory buff applies to all online guild members - winning pays off beyond just the Ruud reward.
  • The event is purely about presence on the specific throne tile - being in the zone but not on that exact tile does nothing for scoring.
  • Coordinate your guild before the event - have your GM push to the throne while guildmates clear the path.
