Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or playing on Eden MU, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Account Ownership

All accounts are the property of Eden MU. You are granted a limited, revocable license to use your account. We reserve the right to suspend, ban, or permanently delete any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to violation of these terms or server rules.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
Account sharing is permitted but at your own risk - we are not responsible for disputes between shared account users
One person may operate multiple accounts
We are not obligated to restore accounts that are lost, hacked, or compromised due to user negligence

3. Virtual Currency and Items

All in-game items, currencies (Zen, Ruud, WCoin, Goblin Points), characters, and virtual goods have no real-world monetary value. They exist solely within the game environment and are the property of Eden MU.

Purchasing WCoin or other premium currency grants you a license to use virtual items within the game
You do not own any virtual items, characters, or currencies - they are licensed to you
We may modify, remove, or rebalance any items, currencies, or game systems at any time
Trading, selling, or buying accounts or in-game items for real money is not endorsed and done at your own risk

4. Donations and Payments

All payments made to Eden MU are voluntary donations to support server operations. In exchange for donations, you receive virtual currency (WCoin) as a token of appreciation. These donations are final and non-refundable. See our Refund Policy for details.

5. Service Availability

Eden MU is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Continuous, uninterrupted access to the game server
That the service will be free of bugs, errors, or exploits
Preservation of your character data, items, or progress indefinitely
Any specific uptime or performance level

We may perform maintenance, updates, resets, or shut down the server at any time without prior notice.

6. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Eden MU, its administrators, and staff shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of virtual items, account access, or any other game-related losses.

Refund Policy

All donations and purchases are final. Eden MU does not issue refunds under any circumstances.

No Refunds

All payments made to Eden MU are voluntary donations in exchange for virtual currency (WCoin). By completing a payment, you acknowledge and agree that:

All transactions are final and non-refundable
Virtual currency and items have no real-world monetary value
You will not dispute, charge back, or reverse any payment
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may result in immediate permanent account suspension

Chargebacks

If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated against Eden MU:

Your account will be immediately and permanently banned
All associated accounts will be banned
Any virtual currency or items received from the transaction will be removed
You will be held responsible for any fees incurred by Eden MU as a result of the chargeback

Service Modifications

Changes to game balance, content, features, or item values do not constitute grounds for a refund. Virtual items and currencies may be modified, rebalanced, or removed as part of normal game development.

Account Bans

If your account is suspended or banned for violating our Terms of Service or Server Rules, you are not entitled to a refund for any purchases made on that account.

Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

When you use Eden MU, we collect the following information:

Account data: Account ID, email address, and encrypted password
Game data: Character names, stats, inventory, and gameplay activity
Payment data: Transaction IDs and payment amounts (we do not store credit card numbers - payments are processed by PayPal)
Technical data: IP addresses, browser information, and session data
Communication data: Discord support tickets and in-game chat logs

How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the game service
To process payments and deliver virtual currency
To enforce server rules and prevent cheating
To communicate with you about your account or the service
To improve the game and fix bugs

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

Payment processors (PayPal) to complete transactions
When required by law or legal process
To protect the rights, safety, or security of Eden MU or its users

Data Retention

We retain your account and game data for as long as the service operates. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us through Discord.

Public Information

The following information is publicly visible on the website: character names, class, level, resets, guild membership, and rankings. This is standard for online game services.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how the website is used. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords, HTTPS, and firewall protection. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Server Rules

Violation of these rules may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans at the discretion of the administration.

Prohibited Conduct

Cheating: Use of hacks, bots, exploits, packet editors, or any unauthorized third-party software that provides an unfair advantage
Bug abuse: Intentionally exploiting bugs or glitches for personal gain. Report bugs to staff instead
Real-money trading (RMT): Selling or buying accounts, characters, or in-game items for real money is not endorsed and done at your own risk
Impersonation: Impersonating staff members or other players
Harassment: Excessive targeting, bullying, or toxic behavior toward other players
Advertising: Promoting other servers or unrelated services in chat or Discord
Account theft: Attempting to access accounts that do not belong to you

Chat Rules

No excessive spam or flooding
No hate speech, racial slurs, or discriminatory language
No sharing of personal information of other players
English is the primary language for global chat

PvP Rules

PvP is allowed in designated areas and open-world zones
Excessive spawn-camping or griefing may result in action if reported

Staff Decisions

All decisions made by Eden MU staff are final. We reserve the right to take action on any behavior we deem harmful to the community, even if not explicitly listed in these rules.
